Je hebt een afgeronde HBO/WO opleiding, richting bedrijfseconomie en 5-7 jaren werkervaring in accounting & controlling. Tevens heb je uitstekende kennis van Excel en bij voorkeur van SAP BW en Business Objects. Je hebt een zeer goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Franse taal in woord en geschrift. Als Senior Market Risk Analist ben je verantwoordelijk voor de identificatie en analyse van de (mogelijk verborgen) marktrisico’s bij commodity-transacties. Als senior lever je bovendien een belangrijke bijdrage aan de ontwikkeling en implementatie van (trend)analysemodellen en -tools en de vaststelling van diverse parameters. Je draagt bij aan de opbouw en instandhouding van een intern specialistennetwerk dat de identificatie en monitoring van risico’s permanent professionaliseeert en verbetert. Je maakt plannen voor de verbetering van de inhoudelijke kennis van de afdeling Market Risk Management en rapporteert over al je werkzaamheden aan het management. Aan zowel interne als externe relaties verstrek je strategische en tactische adviezen over risicobeheersing.

Main Accountabilities:

• Support the company management team to develop and communicate risk management policies, risk appetite and risk limits.
• Developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and plans for the organization’s critical risks and for monitoring these risks
  • Plan, design and implement overall risk management processes and systems
  • Oversee and implement risk control actions (e.g. insurance, health and safety measures, business continuity plans etc).
  • Arrange in coordination with the CFO a sound and least-cost financing protection package
  • Develop project risk management capabilities within the organization
• Establishes, communicates and facilitates the use of appropriate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) methodologies, tools and techniques.
• Ensures effective alignment between the ERM process and internal audit and risk financing
• Works with business units and legal entities to establish, maintain and continuously improve risk management capabilities.

SBU controller function is responsible for the collaboration with Central and LE Finance in determining key strategic and analytic needs of the SBU, coordination and implementation of Central Finance initiatives, identification of business opportunities and risks for the SBU from a financial perspective.

In case of LE controllers, there is also a responsibility for the analysis and translation of analyses and to provide recommendations on operating and strategic matters.

• Alignment and setting of financial objectives and goals of the SBU in close collaboration with SBU management, Central Finance and LE Finance and in accordance with the SBU strategy .

• Establish and maintain a good financial government structure in order to ensure that financial business processes comply with processes established for the group
• Oversee the financial operations of the subsidiary corporations for the SBU, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
• Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
• Coordinate the preparation of the SBU quarterly and annual reports
