Main function: Finance
SBU controller function is responsible for the collaboration with Central and LE Finance in determining key strategic and analytic needs of the SBU, coordination and implementation of Central Finance initiatives, identification of business opportunities and risks for the SBU from a financial perspective.
In case of LE controllers, there is also a responsibility for the analysis and translation of analyses and to provide recommendations on operating and strategic matters.
Purpose of the role: To align financial objectives and goals of the SBU in close collaboration with SBU management, Central and LE Finance and according to the SBU strategy and to drive financial performance, establishing and maintaining a good financial government structure in order to ensure that financial business processes comply with processes established for the group.

Role responsibilities
Main Accountabilities:
- Alignment and setting of financial objectives and goals of the SBU in close collaboration with SBU management, Central Finance and LE Finance and in accordance with the SBU strategy .
- Establish and maintain a good financial government structure in order to ensure that financial business processes comply with processes established for the group
- Oversee the financial operations of the subsidiary corporations for the SBU, especially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Coordinate the preparation of the SBU quarterly and annual reports
- Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
- Support and control of the business units financial information and ensure that financial statements reflect international standards as well as complying with relevant rules and regulations.
- Work closely with SBU management in developing annual operating budgets and revenue plans with LE Finance and provide reports required to monitor and track performance against plans.
- Coordinates production of monthly management Profit and Loss reports including variance analysis for the SBU.
- Assisting in the monthly close activities for the SBU including identification of accruals and prepayments and cost assurance activities to ensure that results are complete and accurate.

Core competencies
Education, knowledge and working experience:
- Degree in Financial Accounting/ Controlling/ Qualified CIMA / ACCA Qualified Accountant
- 5-10 years controlling experience gained in consulting and/or a professional practice and/or a commercial/manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles
- Knowledge of group reporting
- Skills in forecasting, budgeting and analysis of variances
- Advanced Excel skills advantageous
- Knowledge of Power point advantageous
- Fluent in English, other European language advantageous
